New definition for S.O.S.
A C-130H was lumbering along when a cocky F-16 flashed by. The fighter jock decided to show off. He told the C-130H pilot, “Watch this!” then promptly went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb. Diving back to the C-130’s level, he broke the sound barrier with an impressive sonic boom.
“What did you think of that, Big Guy?” the F-16 pilot smugly asked.
The C-130 pilot replied, “That was impressive, but watch this!” after which the C-130 droned along, straight and level. After about 5 minutes, the 130 pilot came back on the radio and said: “What did you think of that?”
Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked, “What the heck did you do?”
The C-130 pilot chuckled. “I stood up, stretched my legs, walked to the back, took a leak, and then got a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll.”
Moral of the story? When you are young and foolish―speed and flash may seem like a good thing. But when you get older—and smarter―comfort and dull is not such a bad thing!
Older folks understand this one. It's called:
S.O.S.
Slower, Older, and Smarter!
